Tickets to the 2006 Philippines World Pool Championship in November went up for sale starting today (Friday, September 15). Raya Sports, the Philippine organizer of the championship, announced that Ticketworld has been appointed as the professional ticketing agent for the WPC.

Since demand for WPC tickets will likely exceed the limited supply of seats during the nine-day event, tickets will be sold in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. The organizers will retain, however, a limited number of tickets for sale at the box office on the day of play.

Raya is pleased to offer a wide selection of hotels within a short distance from the Philippine International Convention Center, venue of the 2006 Philippines World Pool Championship. Partner hotels range from De Luxe (5-star) to First Class (4-star) to Standard (3-star) categories. All offer special rates to players and visitors during the world championship tournament.

Well i guess it figures that in the Phillipines they can actually sell tix for the preliminaries instead of giving them away.
 
at the prices they're offering, it's like they're giving them away! Let's all go to the Philippines!!
 
What kind

of coverage will Matchroom Sports be offering over the net, and how much is it going to cost? How many tables will have cameras?

The broadcast contracts of Matchroom Sport preclude any net coverage. So we're sorry, but there are no webcasts available.

There will be 2 TV Tables. One for International Broadcasts (TV Table 1), and the other for the Philippine TV Feed (TV Table 2). Both will be in English.

it is just a travesty that People in the USA will not get to see it on TV or the net while it is going on? It's a damn shame!!! Somebody, I don't care who - FIX THAT ....lol

Do you know if you will get any delayed coverage of this year's event in the US? In past years we've gotten pretty decent delayed coverage in two hour highlight packages, but this year it looks we might not get anything, I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't look good.

Who precludes it and why?
 
ESPN throughout Asia. Check local listings.

The contract for the WPC was bought by ESPN/Star for Asia.
