Watching Pool LIVE on TV!

manalo breaks dry. Leaves no shot - one is hooked. David pushes and Manaolo takes the bank but misses leving David long. Davd goes for the reverse cut to the corner and misses leving Manalo a shot and a relatively open table. Manalo spins the cueball up table for the 2 and then comes between the balls to get on the 3. Only problem left is the six which is blocked by the eight.

He leves himself a long combination. It's a little tricky with the distance and he nails it with perfect speed. Should be out here.

David looks sick.

Manalo gets out and it's 9:8 for David.

Manalo to break - you Filipinos have the NUTS with this format - a top level ring game live each week followed by a top level match on Satruday.

Makes ball on the break and ends up with no shot on the one. Possibly a cross corner bank. Standard one pocket bank. Or a nice safety to squeeze behind the 4 and 7.

He plays a two way going for the bank and leaves Daivd a clear ball but the one is laying on the head rail. NICE safety from Daivd as he kills the cueball two rails and leaves it behind the 4/7.

Manalo kicks the one hard and almost scratches but gets safe. Funny - the screen says "Parental Guidance" on it.

Daivd kicks 2 rails and leaves Manalo a clear look at the one to the corner which he makes with ease. On the 2 but the cueball is frozen to the rail - nails a tough shot to the side and lands perfect on the four. Cosmo from here.

And with that it's 9:9 and a race to 2.

Manaolo makes a ball and plays safe after the break. Daivd is kicking. Sells out the one.

Manalo is in line to get out here. Slightly tricky on the four to get to the five. He is jacking up to play the three rail shape. Comes up way short on the five. He could still cut it in but it's not easy by any means. The cross corner bank is closed. He goes for the cut and hangs the five in the corner!

David has a tricky shot though as he is nine feet away from teh 5 and the cue is next to the six on the other end. And he comes up tricky on the sixbut handles the awkward shot with ease. And with that he FINALLY gets on the hill.

10:9 David. Manalo went out of his way to give that rck away.

John, I don't know whether to read these live action reports or watch my two hour tape of last night's "The Next Great American Band" from Fox TV.

David to break - on teh hill.

1 goes down and he is hooked on the 2. David pushes to a jump. Manalo comes to the table with his jump cues but then gives the shot back to David.

David nails the jump shot! But ends up hooked on the 3. Setting up for a half masse'. He hits the 3 but leaves Manalo looking at a ful ball. No pocket though. Manalo nails the bank!! Great shot at this point in the match. In line on the four. Hs to draw the cueball out for the five and gets a funny angle to get to the six.

The 7 looks partially bolcked by the nine so getting there from the six is tricky. Looks like he tried to break up the 7/9 but missed it and now has no pocket for the 7. Shotting the 7 with the bridge.

Manalo tried a tricky safety and SOLD OUT the match leaving the 7 in front of the corner. However David is left with a 8:9 combo with both balls slightly off the rail. Nails it!!!

11:9 David played great! Manalo however gave the match away with miscues and bad decisions.

Over and out!!!
