The real vote for such displays is closer to zero. As in there are zero dollars spent by Americans for that "value" in the entertainment business.

You know, in reality if it is entertainment value and relate-ability you want, why are they playing 9 ball at all? 90% (of course I made up that number but I bet it is close), of all armature players who make up the possible spectators play 8 ball. They don't even identify with 9 ball. They are trying to sell a game to people who don't even play or care about it. Perhaps the IPT had it right.

You know what is funny. I watch a lot of the live streams from bars showing their weekly tournaments and league play. They get tons of viewers and have a lot of sponsors on the screen. Seems someone likes is watching pool..

I saw that thread. You don't pose a question you make an argument. It is just a continuation of this thread with your opinion. Thats fine we all have opinions.

I meant to stimulate some discussion along these lines.

It's working...it seems.:ninja:

Thanks for asking about it,

Truth is, there is room for it all. That is what is great about pool. It is not just one thing. Many games and many rules. Lets see the pros play Cribbage. Great game by the way. 3-C is very entertaining. Snooker is a cultural phenomenon. 9 ball to the uninitiated might be the least entertaining of all.
