Water Buffalo Tips

I have not seen the black one, I have purchased the two different brown WB tips, one seems like it was "painted" with choclolate brown paint and the other was like the one in the photo on the right, a bit rough leather looking with minute streaks of tan, I guess this is the medium one)

if the black is hard and the one I described is medium, whats the rating for the "painted one" like this

IMO WB tips have changed a little over the last year. The box in the picture looks black, which is the Hard WB tips. The Dark Brown Box is the Med-Hard tip. They now are very shiny and looks like they have a coating on them. They used to look rougher, with no coating, like the one on right. I think Atlas sells the Black box (Hard) and J&J sells the others. Love this tip Med-Hard for play, and Hard for Breaking. I have put over 10 boxes of these tips on over the past 9 years, and sold some of them also in ebay. Not an expert, just a user.

10 boxes.... that makes you an expert

They don't even smell the same . Gawd, the old one stunk. They also made that ticking sound when hitting the ball. The brown one put a ton of action on the ball.
