Wax Gullies?

I bought an old 7 foot Global table. I have the slate out and cleaned the plastic ball return gullies with detergent and a damp rag. Should I apply some wax to the gullies (or perhaps silicone spray) or just leave them be? The ball return seems to be working very well as is.

Leave them alone.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice and tips. I usually play on a 9 foot Gandy in our Community center but found this Global at an unbelievable price. Putting Simonis 860 and new K-66 rubber on it. Wanted Diamond Ridgeback rails (recommended by RKC in another thread) but they're not available for Globals at this time but they're working on coming out with them for Globals shortly.
