Waxing your balls

Ive read countless threads about how dirty balls can effect play. Doesnt it stand to reason that balls that are hyper clean would also have a negative impact? I remember reading one set of official rules that said balls should only be cleaned with alcohol...

Wax, and other oily coatings are illegal, and specified in most of the rule sets.

WD40 is often used to juice up a CB. Wipe it down and let it sit overnight to degass itself of the Kerosene. Takes english like there is no tomorrow. Often used in billiards demonstrations--like huge massés.
