Come out and play, there are food and drink specials for the tournament players and of course the owners match half the pot.
 
i sure wish this tourny was on a different day. I live right down the road from your place. But I have pool league on Wednesdays
 
I feel you man, I was trying to make the tournament take place on fridays but the owners wouldn't host a tournament on their busiest day. Wednesdays is also the only day that I have during the week to run a tournament other than friday because of league on mondays and tuesday and thursday I run two more tournaments in Lake Jackson at Shooters II. There have been some people showing up but I'm still trying to round up more players for this tournament. This is one of the nicer places that I have hosted tournaments, great food, great staff and the tables roll nice.
 
Pearland Area Pool Players

If you all can reply to this thread and let me know what day is best to host a pool tournament in the Pearland area please let me know. The owners of Wild Geese Tavern are willing to change the date of the tournament if Wednesday is a bad day for the local are players. The owners are matching half the pot at $10 per entry and the pot would be $480 for a full field. If anyone from the houston area and surrounding areas please feel free to provide some input.
 
Simonis really? I have been trying to tell them to get Simonis but they bought the wrong felt from misunderstanding. I used to run the tournament on Thursday there for awhile till it was too far for me to drive and talk about running apa league and etc.

I forgot that black guy name that managed the place. But I know all the Gonzales family there.
 
Yes the cloth is Simonis now and not the tan felt that the tables used to have, the tables play really good now. Now if only people would show up and play.

Saturday would be a good day to play one there. Fridays are wrapped up in Pasadena by a few pretty good tournaments and Sunday Just 2 more in Pasadena has a big one as well. Saturdays are left open unless you want to drive all the way out to Rose Country.

I know some people that i could bring out there.
 
Saturday sounds good to me, I just need people to reply to this thread so I can show the owners that I have players wanting to come in on saturdays. I'll be out of town this saturday but I can change the tournament if I can get enough of a response.
 
Saturday Tournament!

If you had it on Saturday I can for sure bring some people out there from Pasadena. Wednesday is league night for me also...
 
I'm pretty sure that changing the date to saturday should be no problem. I just have to get more replies to this thread so that I can show the owners that saturday is a much better date for this tournament. They told me as long as I have players coming in it should be no problem changing the date. I will be out of town this saturday but I will be there on the 24th and should be able to run the tournament on that saturday.
