I have a cue that has a small weight bolt that is glue in the back. Someone suggested having it heated up to remove the weight as it's glued in there but i'm afraid that would risk warping the cue.

It's a full splice. The weight bolt is 2 inches in from the butt end. so it's somewhat difficult to get to it.

How do you guys remove this without damaging the cue?

sodering iron or send it off. it may take you a while to get it hot enough to break the glue. you wont warp the cue iw wont gt that hot

it may take 20 mins or so but do worry as long as you keep it on the bolt you should be ok.

ps if it has a delrin buttcap that bold is probably holding it on you will need to replace it
