Im looking for like a 3.5-4 oz weight bolt. have to make a cue pretty heavy. Im lookin for a 3/8 - 16 preferably with a head with attachment for a bumper but i would take headless if thats what is available.

I tried all the vendors, atlas is closest but i got their bolt and it is like 2.3 oz, i need heavier than that

Screw in 3/8-16 set screws in front of your weight bolt to attain the weight you desire. Make sure that each set screw locks tightly to the one in front of it so that nothing will move or rattle. You can get your set screws from a Hardware store. 3/8-16 set screws come in lengths from 1/4" to 3.00" in length. You can figure that 2.5 inch equals 1 ounce. I keep 3/8-16-5/8" for weight bolts. Each weighs about 1/4 ounce.

This may sound like Mickey Mouse engineering, but you can make the hole deeper than you need for the weight bolt, get some lead fishing weights that weigh enough combined with the weight bolt, make sure you have room for all of it, and drop them in with some epoxy to keep them from rattling and put the weight bolt in after them.

Otherwise you will probably need to find a brass weight bolt long enough.

That would be like 11 inches of .375 rod. Think I would go 1/2 or 5/8. 5/8-18 weighs 1.2 ounces per inch.

What about dropping a piece of tungsten rod in the hole and cap with a standard weight bolt ? More weight in a smaller space.

More weight in a smaller space could cause balance issues. It would have a more obvious heavy spot. Granted, some folks like it that way.
 
Do you have the tooling for coring? If you core it with a heavy wood it would spread the weight out quite a bit. Someone on here also uses tungsten powder mixed into epoxy when they want to add weight. Tungsten is insanely heavy.

dont have the tooling for coring, but the tungsten powder may be a good idea
