Weight of 1" slate piece?

Hi guys,

Any idea how much a piece of 1" slate weighs? (8-foot table, but I can deduce from a 9-foot table).

The table has the typical 3 pieces of slate. I'd like to estimate the weight of one piece.

If I remember correctly my Gold Crown II slates were 215# each. Its a 9' table but I think they may be 1 1/8" thick. Im sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

my table has 1" thick one piece slate on an 8 foot table. i read somewhere it was 900 lbs.

That's probably one of the 3 pieces of 8ft 1 inch slate. They weigh around that or a bit less.
