I'd like to introduce everyone to Complex13, one of AZ's newest members.
He plays league pool in Des Moines and I've subbed on his team a few times and that's where I met him.
Complex13 WAS the worst player on his team just a few seasons ago. He's done the right things to improve (books, tapes, sweating, etc.) and has left his teammates in the dust. And his teammates are pretty good players, so that says a lot.
Imho, he should have gotten the Most Vaulable Player award this year but he played all season and his average/game was slightly less than someone who played fewer games. He could have stopped playing a few weeks ago and would have gotten the MVP, but he comes to play, not sit out.
He hasn't posted yet, but I know he's been reading a lot here....to learn. I look forward to any thoughts he'll contribute and just wanted to let everyone know that he's a good guy and a lover of the game and to ask you all to make him feel as welcome as you've made me.
