Well i went back to melbourne this last weekend to shoot some more pool. I had a great time once again at the Golden Cue.. Got to play some good pool, but on the whole i had some other things on my mind that prevented me from really getting into it.
Friday night, i stopped in around 7-8, played a little with ARM9BALLER, had some fun, got to visit a little. All the guys there are great people (for the most part).
Then i ended up going out with some friends.. Met a nice girl at the pool hall, and talked with her for the rest of the night. We drove around Melbourne, and just talked, nothing happened, just got to get some things off my mind.
Saturday, me and my friends played some *special* mario kart on gamecube, then i went to the cue. I ended up playing Rich (rjbigfish) getting the weight he suggested to make the game even (the last 3 and the 7). We played for a long while, almost 3 hours, and were pretty close to even, and then played a set for the pool time which i lost. I was surprised that he could give me this much weight, but i was kind of distracted from *special* mario kart, and the previous night with a girl who shall be known as *skittles*
During my match with rich, i played a joke on my friend sam, and while we were all laughing, then he turned into the incredible hulk! then i got a chance to see how Jack (skippyFL) and Brandon can really "open some doors".
I finally got to meet PoolHallMaven who is a very nice lady. I was surprised at how cool she was, really easy to talk to, extremely down to earth, and very intelligent. Sadly, i left once again before we got a chance to play. Well have to say next time again!
On the whole, it was a great weekend, which served its purpose of getting my mind off some things that were bothering me. Im sure ill be coming back very soon, but the $10 in tolls getting there, combined with $3/gallon gas, it might be a while.
If i were better i could just rob the guys there for my expenses, but the guys in Melbourne are good! I go in there, and just about all the guys playing on the weekends are Hard hitters.. people i wouldnt wanna get in the box with no matter the weight! Its nice to visit a place with so much talent.
You can go to the Cue and never bring YOUR cue, and still be entertained by just sweating the games. Its a very homely and friendly place, that anyone would be proud to call their home room.
I got a few videos and pics coming soon, ill upload it and post the links.
