This tournament, although new, has seemed to trump any of the local ones including the first of the month Golden cue tourney. The first month it had 30 players, a calcutta that hit 700 and paid 6 places.

This month it had 36 players, a calcutta of 1100 that also paid top 6. There was an issue with the added money and green fee, but at the end it was like playing in a 30 dollar entry fee NO GREEN FEE tournament, but with no added. 1st place hit about a grand. There were players from Lubbock, San Angelo, New Mexico and El Paso.

I think this tournament has the potential of being similar to the amarillo tournaments with the 50 + 10 green fee and high calcuttas.

We will see....
