I just checked the paid entries as of 9/28 and there are only 63 men and 10 women signed up to play in this years event. I see Allison Fisher and Rodney Morris are signed up to play but a lot of last years field has not signed up to play. (Gotham event running the same weekend must be the reason).

I am posting this so maybe some up and comers will try this event. I am posting this out of pure greed on my part. I love to watch top players play. I have nothing to do with this event in any way shape or form. I just love to watch top flight players battle it out.

l hope some players read this and give it a try. :):)

I think players will come they are just figuring out their schedules and Mosconi points
I talked to Bergman and SVB both said they were likely coming to this

Depends on how it goes there and in NC

Svb no issue with points but Bergman needs them since he missed the 4 bears and carom room

Since they combined the master and grand master division in Bca I know that's dented applicants for men and women coming to the Bca and as by product the chinook open prior

Great venue and tournament though had really string field in April

Thanks for the vote of confidence. The top level pro's are seldom seen in the N.W..
 
Chinook Winds really does put on a good event, they are always responsive to having events there and you can't beat being right on the ocean!

Hope the field fills in. It would be more cost effective for me to just make personal checks out to whoever they would assign me to play against and not go, or i'd be down there, cue in hand, to try and win a match or two.

Yes it's brutal I heard only 10 women were signed up for theirs
60 odd for men

An event that had full filed in every category in April now can't fill
Main causes are ten ball only pros and masters or above will play
There is Gotham and NC going on and the combined masters an grand masters for Bca so most masters dipping out

Shame hope it gets full

Update as of 10/3..

82 men
22 women

I see that Sky has added his name to the list. A few other notables also.

Oh wow, i'd love to get the time off work and meet some newer pros for autographs. Sky was so impressive at Mosconi last year, he seems like a bright talent.

Are they very receptive to us ball-banger types asking for autographs and pictures? Or is it very much a case by case basis?

I would hope that most of the pro's would be willing to give autographs after their match. Its just good business.
 
98 now. Max Eberle in the mix. I'm heading out there tomorrow. Don't laugh if I make it on the streaming table ;)
