I installed a Kamui on my cue,
It was recommended that I wet the tip before any trimming...
The tip trimmed beautifully, and looks totally different than the others I have installed"
Does wetting the tip work with all tips,
Will it improve the quality of the performance of the tip???
THANKS
*** it makes me think...
I've installed ALOT of tips and didnt care for them at all, ESPECIALLY Moori tips...
could this be why???
I havent had a chance to try out the kamui I installed,
cant wait though"

The right type of cutting edge will slice/cut through damp leather much easier and with far less stress to the material when it is moistened before shaving.
This is the only reason I know of for wetting a tip other than burnishing the side after it has been sized down.

Wetting is recommended for some of the softer tips like elkmasters, sniper.etc. I have never wet a moori or most of the other layered tips. Some (Talisman) recommend against wetting the tip. I would guess that the glue is water based.
