Well after 4 days of thinkin about what went down, or didn't ....last weekend I gotta vent and get it out of my system. I live alone so know one to b*tch to lol.

I sent a text to my league operator last Friday asking when the single regionals in Nashville was scheduled. I knew it was real close to the date. He texts back its starting Saturday morning. I reply great as I am qualified. He texts back that he does not see me registered. I say....wtf ? He replies that players now have to register online since they were having a problem with a lot of no shows.

Aw chit ! That's what I get for never checking emails I guess. He apologized and took blame for not comparing players who qualified and did not register and notify them directly. That was nice of him but more my fault than his for not checking up on it myself.

I qualified the first year and went 2 and out. I qualified the second year and went undefeated all the way to the finals losing hill-hill.

I failed t qualify for the next 5 years in a row until last year and was not able to go due to finances after having a real slow workload during last winter.

I qualified this year going undefeated in our local qualifier and was really looking forward to going this year . Every year I was telling myself....always next year . At 63 I dont know how long I can keep being competitive with all those young pups lol.

Well.....always next year.
 
I know the feeling. I have an overall hatred for APA all together now, but what finally pushed me over the edge to "never playing again" for them was also a regional problem. Because of how the summer session was in our area they would lessen the match requirements as long as you were on an active roster. I had prior agreements that left me travelling that entire summer, so I made arrangements with the LO, as well as 2 DIFFERENT TEAMS to keep me on their active rosters, just in case. Well I went through the year as planned, no problems....stuck to my commitments with no issues. Went back to college (3 hours away) and stayed on an active team, making the drive 4 times each session to make sure I was still eligible.


Enter Regionals. Mind you I was all registered and set to play in them, I make the drive down to it. Show up, get to the desk to register, and now the LO looks at me and told me "I wasn't qualified anymore". That summer, the two teams that I was a member of their active rosters decided to remove me and no one ever let me know that this happened. Even through multiple conversations with the LO, I was led to believe that I was still qualified for this. The Singles and Masters divisions were the only think keeping me in APA up to that point, and he knew it....so he strung me along for the dues as long as he could. Vowed to him from that weekend on I would never contribute another dime into his pocket.
 
You sound like my father when he was your age, *****in about getting too old to elk hunt :thumbup:.
He's 78, still going strong, and killed his biggest elk ever, 2 yrs ago, at 76.

I would think they'd still be able to fit you in. As I recall you've been pretty good to your
LO and you can't be the only one that finds themselves with this issue.
This registering on line, He's taking a lot for granted assuming that everyone has email
and access to email. Sure most people do, but still not everyone does. You qualified,
there's no real reason for you not to play. Is the register on line something from your area,
or is it a nation-wide APA thing?

How did you know when and where the Regional was, and what time to be there to register?
