I prefer both, but playability is what impresses me the most... I have had a few cues that were knock-outs as far as inlay,pointwork, etc. but were duds' in terms of playability"MasterClass said:Hmm i was thinking that without the deco ring below the joint looks nicer? I think my taste in cue seems to be changing as i grow older. I no longer find fancy looking cues attractive but rather distracting. plain cues with inner beauty are more impressive. I wonder is it just me? Oh by inner beauty i mean cues when i take a hit with it and my jaws drops in awe and wonder.
I wondered why a cue maker would build a nice cue and not put the trim rings on the cue in the right places.
