What A Good Night!

got my shafts back from Chad Carter on friday night and decided to rack em and play some. finally, after all this time, i got some decent rolls and ran a bunch of racks.

the most i had ever ran in a row was 3 racks, and i got down to the 7-Ball on the 4th rack and missed -ARRGGGGGHHHH! should have gotten up to 4 in a row that time, and who knows, i might have gotten 1 or 2 in a row more. it was kind of one of those squirrely little shots, and rattled but just wouldnt fall. oh well.

point is, all this was done with my Chad Carter Custom Cue. ended up running about a dozen racks friday night and double digits again saturday. hadnt had a run like that in a long time, so i'll give some credit to Mr. Carter and his cue.

anyway, just wanted to post something positive for a change. hope the good rolls keep coming, although sunday wasnt a real great day. if i can keep doing this might seriously consider playing in some tournaments.

regards,
DCP

p.s. no stupid, idiotic comments, please.

I still say your time perspective is waaaaaaaay off. So what if you had ONE session of running a few racks? I don't mean to downgrade a nice effort, but in the long run of your pool life, how important is this little, tiny, itsy-bitsy result? Get a wider-scope perspective.

And you're still thinking that the balls roll good or bad. That meme will wear you down and wipe you out IN THE LONG RUN.

Do it again for about 6 months and then you're on to something.

I make these comments not to seem idiotic, but to attempt to help you and others to compare what is happening right now with the biggest picture possible. Then you can begin to see true trends, not just minor blips. Focusing on the long-term trends will let you know if what you're doing is really helping your game and happiness.

My honest opinion, and keep up the good work.

DCP,
Good work. I will say that you play more 9-ball in 1 day than I play in a year. Perhaps that much 9-ball will skew your self-evaluation. I am a big believer in evaluating your game by ability to set up properly and deliver a perfect stroke every time; not by # of racks run. When you can make everything you look at with a perfect stroke every time, perfect position every time you will be GOOD.

Agreed, anything less……. …..should invoke self mutilation.
