What A Great Read

I just finished reading R. A. Dyer's "The Hustler and The Champ." Basically it is the biographies of Willie Mosconi and Minnesota Fats in the context of the "Great Shoot Out" that they contested on ABC's Wide World of Sports and the lifelong rivalry between the two men. I'm sure this book has been mentioned many times in this forum. If you are a pool addict like me it was a very quick and enjoyable read.

Purchased it from a user on here some months ago, but haven't had a chance to stick my nose in it yet. Suppose I should push it further up my list!

It is a very good read. Another excellent Dyer book is Hustler Days It covers Minnesota Fats, Wimpy Lassiter, Jersey Red and America's great age of pool. :thumbup:
