Hello All! I need a little help putting a value on these DP cues. A buddy of mine (more like an acquaintance) says he’s had them for 4-5 years and they’ve never been chalked. I’ve heard different stories concerning the DP cues so that’s why I’m asking for info. What should I offer him? He wouldn’t give me a price, just said to make him an offer. I’ve compared them to some on eBay but still would like some input from here. They’ll probably be for sale if I pick them up!
Any info or advice is appreciated!

Just my opinion. $125-$150 if never used. Not rare. They are discontinued. Some of his cues are made well. I have one where the rings are not tight and some chipping. Other 2 I have are decent.

These are some of the inexpensive cues that Perry was making for direct sale on eBay before he retired from cue making. They are not of the quality of his early work, and thus they don't bring very high prices. That said, my experience with his eBay cues is very good, and I consider them to have been a really good value. My everyday shooter is an eBay Dale Perry that I paid $170 for. He sold them in auction format, starting each one at $99.00. Most sold for between $99 and $160. Some went higher, but it had to be a really fancy looking cue to go over the $200 mark. Most of his designs didn't really appeal to me, but every now and then he would come out with something I liked a lot.

As far as quality goes, these are as good or better than anything I've owned or played with in the sub-$1000 range. I don't baby mine, keeping it in my car 365 days a year and breaking every game with it, and it has held up very well. The shaft warps just a tiny bit every winter when the air in Wisconsin gets very dry (about the thickness of 2 business cards) but as soon as the humidity comes up at all it's back to being straight as an arrow. Maybe having been made in Florida has something to do with that. In any case it's nothing that bothers me or affects my game.

If it were me buying the group in your photos for resale I would try to get into them at about $100 to $120 each. Since Perry is no longer making them their secondary market value on eBay has gone up a bit, and I have seen them going for $200 to $300 frequently enough that you should be able to make some money on them. Keep in mind that after eBay fees and shipping you only keep about 2/3 of the purchase price.

Hope this helps. :)

Those started to go up in price on eBay for a bit, then disappeared. They were around $200 or less, went up another $50 or so towards the end from that. Solid player for the money though.

I owned an E bay era Dale Perry and it was a very solid. and very good playing cue for under $200. I have also owned a
Dale Perry from his earlier years- late 90s- an excellent custom made cue. I just sold it for $400.

Your cues are E Bay era Dale Perry. They have been selling very well recently on E Bay. I have seen $200+ each recently on E Bay, even for used examples. Selling them off E BAY- no fees- I would say about $175 or so each, perhaps. Bundling all 5 to someone, who was looking to resell them, your call on unloading them all at once- no selling issues or time involved makes a big difference by unloading them all at once.

I have 4 DP cues, and all are excellent cues. 3 of them were E bay cues, and bought for about 150 to 300, i also have an odd ball one which i assume to be from earlier years. It is not marked 1 of 1, and didn't come with Cert of authenticity. It plays the best. I have a buyer for i t he offered me 450, but i didnt sell it. It hits so well i have decided to keep it.

If you are interested in selling all together let me know. I love DP cues.

I have two of these Cues that must have been from similar runs, the dark grey one (mine has green inlays) and similar one to the right of the grey one. If you are interested in selling the grey one, I'd pay $200 fyi. Originally I paid about $170 for one directly from Dale (well Ebay but I picked it up in person).
