It seems to me that reverse english
on the cue ball will increase the angle
of departure off of a cushion if the
entrance angle is oblique enough.
The only explanation I can think of is
that the spin causes the cue ball to slide
across the cushion rather than grip it.
If my observation is correct at what
angle does reverse english actually
decrease the departure angle?
I know cloth and rail conditions will
have some effect as well.
