I don't know who it is, but i'm interested to find out as that is some fine point work!
Throw out a guess. I don't think he will say, untill someone gets it right.

Tracy: Its not Kenny Murrell. He makes a very nice cue though. Very sharp point work and nice veneers. His cues tend to be on the lighter side and most are wrapless, I've seen several in person. I prefer playing with a wrap, be it linen or leather.

Zack: I'll let everyone know soon enough, just enjoying this with the rest of the forum. I have to say that when I got the pics, the words "clean" and "even" just popped into my head when looking at the point work.

Deep: Thanks for the kind words. Nothing to be jealous of, save your pennies (in your case, shillings) and you can commission Fanelli to make you one. Trust me, its worth it.

Zack's on the money, its not a Skip. Skip uses natural wood veneers, but from what I hear if you insist and request, he will used dyed veneers, though on a limited basis.

You can beg Skip all you want, he made ONE veneered blank and its never going to see a handle. BUT on the flip side his first veneered blank is better than alot of blanks from guys making them for a long time.

Joe

hey joe you know how Skip's dyed maple veneers are coming along? I thought about that as an option for Ricky's cue but I don't think he's started making those yet.

I would imagine they would still be seamless though...

He received his pieces and I will see the blank this weekend or Monday.

I don't have as skilled eye as you guys do, but It looks like Murray to me also. Very nice work who ever did it. Going to be a beautifull cue.

Hey Iron Chef, I think that cue addicts, rsb, and cue crazy have your cue figured out. It's gotta be a Murray Tucker and I'm not just basing this on it being a 5-pointer either. To me, the rings (even though he does do other type of rings...) are a dead give away too. If I'm correct, this is his trademark in a way isn't it, the three stitchings matching the vaneers I mean. Really nice cue. I was gonna say Gilbert, but he's too traditional. :p :D

cue in progress

 Ricky,

Love the rings in this cue. I would have to guess Murray Tucker built this cue. :D

It was good meeting you at the valley forge show. Hope to see you next year as well.

Jeff

How about this Gilbert cue. :D
