Banks...Let me address what you said about the cheaters. As for all the rest, I have no interest in getting into that anymore since it isn't going anywhere but I will say my last thoughts on all of this and then I am out of here.
The APA banned some 9 ball players almost 2 years ago that were also TAP members. I did not ban them at this time because what players do in other leagues does not mean they did anything wrong in TAP. Other leagues will not dictate what I do. I also have many banned players from TAP playing in the APA and NAPA now. They allow them into their league and no one says a word about that...Hmm.
But let's get to the present day...Last September I banned all but one of these players for life from TAP for reasons I wont get into here. The other has kept his nose clean because he knows and saw what happened to the others. Not like the APA or BCA did for 2 years. With me it's for life. Guess where most of them are now? Playing in NAPA. The only league that will have them.
I will give any player the benefit of the doubt and a second chance. But once they screw up they are gone and gone for good. In another year (if they pay the money back which is owed to the APA which I highly doubt they will) they will be allowed back into the APA and if Mark let's them in the BCA. Good luck with that. They will need it. (The BCA league here went under so they have to travel a good distance to the nearest one) so it looks like they will be stuck and probably cheating in NAPA. Their problem not mine. Mark approached me at the TAP sales booth last year at the SBE and he explained his position and I explained mine. I suggest to him now if he is reading this not to let those players in the BCA at all based on my past experience. Like I said...I give anyone a 2nd chance but these players don't deserve any from any other leagues. Live and learn.
Also...someone posted Mark can have a discussion on here. Come on. You guys blasted him in the past too. Who you kidding? That is why I seldom get on here and post. Many of you people like to take shots at people doing things in the industry that you can't or won't even try to do. So you kick them around for little things like a typo since that makes you feel better in your own lives.. Get a life... I been doing this for 17 years and I think I have a bit of knowledge on the sport. But compared to what you people THINK you know, well why try arguing with you. Its simply a waste of everyone's time. A perfect example is how you go after Runout Apps. He and his partner are making and refining a app for score keeping that blows anything out there away. In fact there is nothing out there even close to it but you guys come after him a like a buzzard on road kill. Invest your money in a dream and idea like he did and then come on here. I am sure the rest will pick you to the bone too. Pick your game...pick you league and go play pool. Nothing else matters. But quit knocking the people that got off their ass and made a difference in the industry. I personally have spent countless hours promoting pool and TAP. I have done countless charity events for people I didn't even know while taking weekends away from my family. I have helped run TAP's national and Rally events for years. I also promote and direct the largest league events in Western Pa. all the while moving my own tables in and out of locations and still doing it even though I will be 60 years old this year. You try it and see how long you last. I took a chance with my own money and I put my rep on the line when no one else would and became the the first TAP licensee in Pa. in a state that now is covered with TAP. I have dealt with and got screwed over by hotels, players and anyone else trying to make a buck off of my hard work. Get off your asses and try doing what I did the past 17 years and maybe we can talk on equal terms. Until then, you guys have a lot of catching up to do. I made my bones over the years. What have you done except sit at a computer.
While this thread has been up the last few days, I sold two new areas that will be coming into TAP. Guess where they played before? Yep, the APA.
Lastly...because I am done with this thread.....I spoke to the TAP licensee in La. that saw the receipts that the winners from the APA had on those key chains. Yes, I was told so I didn't see it personally but she did. I trust this lady and I know she wouldn't make this up. I mean, really...how could someone make that up? I dont spread lies or false info on here. I believe what she said as the truth. She was suppose to sign on here and post. She has been waiting to get activated so until then I am not going to say anything else but still waiting to know where that $3,000,000 went? I didn't just throw numbers out there like you say. I used numbers from the APA site...Here is what they have on their home page.....The American Poolplayers Association (APA) is the World's Largest Amateur Pool League. With more than 270,000 members throughout the United States, Canada and Japan, the APA awards over $1.5 Million in guaranteed prize money every year during the APA national championships in Las Vegas...and I gave them the benefit of the doubt and cut it by more then half because you and I both know this is not ACTIVE members or is it? Kind of misleading isn't it?... If you want to use their numbers then it's over 270,000 members and that would equate to double or more then $6,000,000!!! So what is it Banks? Over 270,000 and over 6 million or is it not? Who is lying and spreading false info now and if it is true then I ask you again....Where the hell is the $6,000,000? If they have 270,000 members that would equate to $6,750,000 just in yearly dues and not even counting weekly team fees....WOW! ...So I ask you again...Show me the $6,000,000?
Until you answer this question then anything you post is meaningless to me.
Guess we will never know, huh Banks?
God bless and TAP On!
