What are the ODDS?? 1 in 10 Trillion?
Three times in a week ....... Unbelievable, check out "Great Memorial Service for Dave Piona" thread I wrote last night, concerning the other (2) stories which is currently on page #2.
Today I had to make a deposit in an old bank account which I have not used for 3 years for there was only $25 in the account. (I had not even been in that bank for the past 3 years). I went into a West American Bank and gave a teller which was about 19 years old a check with the deposit slip. He said I have to get this deposit approved by my manager I said Ok. The young man took the deposit to his manger and came back to the window and I said that hopefully I will be making some more deposits for I am thinking about opening a Billiard Room in this area. His eyes lit up and said to me do you know any good pool players? My answer was yes, I know quite a few of them. He then said to me, do you know a guy by the name of "Dave Piona"? I could not believe what he just said. I then asked him does Dave come into this bank, and he said no, I was dating his daughter Star at one time and she called me and asked me if I could come to the memorial service but I could not come for I had to work that day.
Hearing Dave's name mentioned and just being a mile from his house Robbi and I drove over there to tell Christina what just happened. As we walked in, Star was there, Christina, Julie Hunter and (2) ladies from Dave's church were there. I started telling the story but when I got to the part "do you know a guy named ........................... Dave Piona" I could not even say his name and I was in tears and everyone there. About that time Star walked in hearing her name mentioned and we were all back on solid ground again. By the way, in the bank next to the teller was a clear plastic "Star" filled with water and as you look through the water there is a colorful post card backing which says "Never give up" and the teller Ralph did not put it there someone else in the bank did and that just happens to be Dave's daughter's name as well, "Star."
After I told the story the girls had to leave the house for Christina wanted to treat all of the girls for helping her with everything. So as we were outside of the house we were all saying good bye, and I said wait a minute I didn't finish the story..... I then said to the girls, as I made the deposit the teller said to me you have $100 available right now, and in 2-7 days the balance will be available. I then responded to the teller, $100 is in my ATM right now and he said yes, so I left the bank and went outside to get the $100. dollars. As I was saying all of this to Christina and the girls I pulled out the $100 out of my pocket and started to hand the money to Christina and she said No I cannot take that money and then in tears with everyone else I said you have to take this money for 10 years ago I gambled with Dave and won $100 and this is HIS money and I cannot keep it. Needless to say only then could she take the money and we were all wet like a soaked sponge.
As the story goes, Christina was going to treat the girls but Dave had his way and it was Dave's $100 dollars that treated the girls for helping Christina!
By the way, Julie Hunter was a real trooper for she came down from Neveda and has helped Christina for the past week along with Star who is solid as a Rock! Hats off to both of you!
Thanks again!
