What are the options for fibre

Cue Crazy

This Question is probably more for those that do alot of house cue work.
I'm wondering what others are using to replace house cue ferrules made from fibre?

I've run out of them, and had a couple of problems with the titan I used for replacement, that resulted in Me to no longer wanting to use It as open end ferrules. I would rather get some fibre ferrules If anyone knows where I can find them. The only ones I've seen for sale were the Tweetens, and the ID looks too big for some of the tenons I have to work with. The old type that Mueller used to have is what I need, the ones with a small enough ID that you can bore them to desired size.

I'd be open to a close alternative if good & strong, but these are house cues, so low pricing per ferrule simular to the fibre is what I really need. I'm getting somewhat frustrated with using My expensive material on the house cues, and really can't afford to keep doing it:( .

Would greatly apprietiate any ideas or help I can get. Thanks:)

I have around 1500 fibre ferrules. I'll have to check on the price if you are interested. They are 14mm OD .312" ID and 1" long.

I went to the Porper capped ferrules when the fibre ran out. They are a injection molded polymer. They are 1 buck each through Porper. They have been holding up well on the house cues so far. Not one has broken in over a year yet.

Those are some pretty strong ferrules. I've been using some here and there, testing them on my cues. Not too bad.

billiard pro shop in the past has offered a small hole ferrule. looks like the same material as the fiber ferrules you get from meuller. been a long time since i got any though.

Yes please If You don't mind I'd apprietiate a price quote. I had a stock from many years ago that I got from Mueller there, but they were between .255-.260 ID (have one in black left that I just checked), still on some of the tenons I may get away with the .312 you mention, and would be interested in 25 or more If the price Is right. Might be interested in more If you have any of the smaller ID left. I do need white, just so I don't confuse, the reason I have the black left Is because I did'nt use that color much. I checked the website over there, and saw they were out of stock, so i was kind of kicking Myself in the ass that I did'nt restock sooner:(

Thanks Greg

I just checked our physical inventory and it looks like I was wrong. Sales picked up over the past few months and we sold out. The last time I looked at our bulk inventory, we still had 1500 or so. Sorry about that.:o I do have the Porper ferrules if anyone is intersted.
