What are you using to break?

Whichever cue I happen to be playing with. No complaints with my break. Last week I made both money balls on the break (10 ball) in a ring game and left a wide open table.

I rarely change tips, almost never have to shape them and don't get mushrooming.

Well aren't you crafty! DD, I am the same usually. Just got this new breaker and I'm loving it, minus the G10. think it's time for some leather on the end of it.

Mace Break Jump by Rick Howard..

I have had it for years and each time I think about switching I can't get away from the Mace.
Somewhere through the years I did switch the tip to a phenolic and have thought about switching back to hard leather. I was out of pool for 3 years and don't really know what good break/jump tips came out. I heard Phenolic tips are now illegal in BCA???

Do Best Parts give you Best Product???

This may seem weird, But I am using a:

Joss Thor Hammer Butt
+ OB Break Shaft (with CFP)
+ Mezz Sonic Tip
= MAGIC

I originally had the heavier Thor Hammer but I switch the weight to 1 1/4 ounce lighter for higher acceleration. The purple heart butt was as hard as hell.

OB Break shaft was the best I have ever used. (beats Mezz Deep impact pro imho)

Sonic Tip has the Best (hardness / control / chalk-eating) ratio to me.

Moral of the Story, use your favorite parts to create the most suitable cue for you!!!
