i agree, it would be great to se pool rooms in regonal malls(the big ones) but it isnt economically viable, the rent in those malls is so high that pool time would be $60/hr or something crazy, because pool rooms require too much space.
pool will awaly have its followers and lifetime players but as a % of the population I believe its gonna shrink, there are just to many other things to do now days. more distractions. pool is a simple game in a complex world-(simple in the eyes of bangers not players), but it will awalys be in bars, peoples houses, and the poolroom here and there, the internet will continue to help pool. but it aint gonna be the 20's or 60's ever again.
no movie is gonna cause a boom in pool, and people have shorter attention spans now days and playing good dosent come fast for most, most poker players think they play better than they do-in pool the balls arnt subjective like how to play a hand of cards so its easier to be a poker player and feel good about your self. Golf will awalys have its followers its an image thing.
just some thoughts, what do you think? the above statments arnt facts ad i'm not 100% sold on them i stated them to keep the discussion going, i'm open to opinions here, thanks guys.
