What can be done?

Anything that can be done to fix this shaft? Gouge is pretty deep. Also what it would cost? Thanks Shane

I would blow it out with steam to remove the chalk dust and then fill it. You will be able to see it but will not be able to feel it. $5

I get a lot of these, Just Like the man said- You clean It, steam It the best you can, then fill what's left. Sometimes You get lucky and It can't be seen as much, other times you can see It pretty easily, but not feel It. Most people usually suspect It will be seen after wards , but are plenty happy that they can't feel It, and that the shaft is still usable. Depends on what is used to fill It, but often times if It's closer to the joint, then It's not too distracting, as It maybe if more on the ferrule side of the shaft, but of coarse that depends on the individual.
