What case makers make cases with soft dividers and not plastic tubes?

Most of the major cue maker's cases are fleece/felt/satin lined. Love my Predator Urbain and the CueTec Pro-Lines are nice.
I've found it tough to find a hard+padded case for a 1x1, but for anything 2x2 or more there's a ton of selection.

Yeah going by his FB posting and videos I don't want to give that guy business. Just a personal preference of mine. LOL

You can try Hans Delta cue cases. The liners have a bit more room than JB but not too loose. I have both cases - JB is more expensive but overall a better made case . Personally think the JB case interior is too tight - it is very hard for me to not bump other cues/ shafts in the case upon insertion or removal with a full 3x5. I don’t need a case to hold my stuff if open and turned completely upside down - never did that in 50 years!
I sold my GF 2x4 made by Barton just bc it was waaay too tight a fit and I loved that case design and exterior - if you need a video to show people how to load and unload your case that says extreme tightness of fit.

Al King makes beautiful custom leather cases that use interiors from JB.
I’ve had lots of cases over the years, Justis, Whitten, Murnak…JB interiors are, IMO, the absolute best protection for your cues. I really haven’t found anything else that compares. Regardless of how you may feel about JB, the interior design is second to none.
Al is an incredibly nice guy to work with, I had him build me the case in my avatar for my 40th birthday and couldn’t be happier with it. Incredible quality and worksmanship! Highly recommend King cases

I do like Jill Hawk Cases, But the last time i checked they were over a year of a wait.
I would urge you to think about just how tight you want your cues to fit inside a soft non tube cue case interior. See if you can play around with a JB first - fully loaded if you want multiple butts and shafts in that case.
Some here swear by the tight fit and others wish it was just a bit more forgiving as a practical matter.

I've found that a large portion of the people that are generally accepted as the best in their field have very strong personalities. Sometimes you have to be obsessive, stubborn and opinionated to achieve excellence. The ones I have problems with are those that are obsessive, stubborn and opinionated without having tried to achieve a damn thing.
Don’t mean to hijack the thread but I’ve come across some Hans Delta cases online. How do they compare weight/size wise to JB Rugged? I’m looking at getting a 3x6. I’ve had a 2x4 cowboy/instroke style, and while I liked the lined tubes, it was quite heavy. I’m using a 2x4 It’s George now and like how slim it is compared to my old case.

I own a Hans Delta and a JB rugged - both are 3x5. The Hans Delta is a lighter case. You can feel the weight difference. JB rugged is a stronger construction- but the Hans is acceptable. JB interior will be a tighter fit with your cues - Hans will provide slightly looser interior fit but more than adequate cue protection. I think advantages to both but it is personal preference and no doubt the JB is a better constructed case and would be considered the Cadillac of the two.
John makes an excellent case. That being said, if you are dead set against him, you could try Gil Castillo.
Cheap JB knockoff.
Put me in the camp of JB being an absolute whack job, but he makes a great case.
I'm glad that I got mine before I learned what a mess he was, or I probably wouldn't have given him my business, and I likely would have had a lower quality case as a result.
