What do think about these pockets?

Sometimes you can hit the ball straight in and it will still rattle and not go in and
if shooting a ball down the rail and you even touch the rail many times it won't go... not joking.

Just a guess, but maybe the wrong slate for the table/rails? Shelf is way too deep. What do the side pockets look like?

from that pic they look massive with really deep shelves. what does it measure across the points?

I think the pockets are massive, and if someone is missing balls on that table, they are hitting the balls WAY too hard.

And I think someone claiming those pockets play bad, needs to upload videos of shots being rejected, so we can see that nice quality stroke used.

The pocket facings appear to have a convex curvature to them, similar to snooker pockets. Add to that the huge pocket mouths and the deep pocket shelves result in a pocket that would play extremely tough, particularly for shots along the rails.

yea they will rattle on that table. but the worse you play the more they rattle. if you want to make it easier get a knowledgeable mechanic to fix it.

With the ball on the facing and hanging at the very edge of the pocket, you should be able to see a percentage of the ball when looking down the rail.
Those pocket shelves look twice as deep as a normal table.

The shell seems a bit long but the opening seems like it is wider than a 4 1/2” pocket ( more than 2 balls).
The shelf is supposed to be under 2” long (1 7/8” max and never shorter than 1 5/8”). The rails are awful.

Here’s a photo of the pockets with 4 1/4” opening. Indeed, the shelf a a bit shorter but meet regulations.
But the pocket rails are straight….no curvature at all. Balls that hit the rails without side spin drop unless
struck too hard. Everyone knows, or should, that hard struck balls result in shrinking the pocket size whereas
slower struck balls result in a friendlier pocket size.

Pocket rails that aren’t straight need to be repaired since the rails in pocket billiards are supposed to be straight.
Look at the rails in the below photos that have 4 1/4” opening which I think is plenty big and my preferred size.

I've watched the table mechs at a hall I play at glue small pieces of additional rubber right over those facings - under the cloth of course. That may be why they have that bowed shape.
