What do you choose: Mezz PB 1 or PB 2???

For those that have tried them, which do you prefer and why? If you have tried either one, what did you like about it? I have not tried either and want to know the differences between both. I know the PB 2 is shorter, but how does that affect the play?

Thank you for any comments you have.

I was just about set on buying a PB 2, I just want to make sure I get what is right for me.

I had a great break cue named the x-breaker made by Richard chan. It could jump balls like nothing then one of my friends purchased new break cue call the mezz power break II when it first came out.

After testing and interviewing other people who use it. I was convinced that the reviews and feedback made this break cue just as good or better than my current breaker.

I do not have a monster break and needed something to help me at least equalize what my opponents had.

Last year i upgraded the break cue with a Mezz Deep Impact Pro shaft and haven't looked back since.

At the moment though I don't know if i prefer a heavier weight or lighter one I have two weight bolts that i can switch from.

The shorter length allows you to throw into the rack like johnny archer. I don't know if it helps but it definitely hasn't hurt my break.

If you want more advice talk to Sarah Rousey...she's the hobbit with an absolutely monster break. she uses it heres her what's in the case:

If you have a jump cue, get the first. If you don't have get the 2nd. I like the 2nd's better. They are stiffer. I do like the first for playing. Yes they are good playing cue.

the 2nd's are great jump cue full cue and half.

i loved my PB2 and i still regret selling it. every now again i'd throw my predator shaft on it and play with it!

the cue really opens the rack up with minimal effort and controls the cb really well because you can take so much off your break. i'd recommend it to anyone!

I have a Mezz PB1. Cue ball control is great! You can throw in all your strength on the rod and the cue ball movement is still minimal after the break. The amount of effort needed to do the compression (to let he cue ball jump and land at the same spot after break) is also lesser than a few other break cues I've tried with.

The only flaw I can think of is that I feel it doesn't break as hard as a BK2. Or at least the feeling it gives.. Yep

Thanks for the replies. I have a pretty good break right now. I am satisfied with my current cue (19.5oz Rick Howard custom J/B) but I am always looking to try something.

My average break is right around 21mph with control on the cueball (being able to squat it). I was looking into the Power Break 2 because of the weight rings and the ability to adjust. I like the idea of being able to move anywhere from 18-21oz and make it forward or rear balanced. I just want to be able to experiment and see what I like the most.

Any more opinions would be appreciated.

Get the PB2 if you do not need the extra length. Basically, everyone I know like PB2 better as long as the shorter length does not bother.

**FYI, the new PB PRO is even better. It is regular length but the shaft is just incredible. I have the PB2 butt with DI PRO shaft. IMO, that is the best break cue you can get.

I just sold almost every cue i had to a collector "10+" and the only cue 2 cues I didnt sell was my mezz PB2 and my lucasi hybrid. I didnt sell the hjybrid because Im in the middle of modifying it to be my bar cue, and I didnt sell my Mezz because it is the best break cue out there period! every year they go up in price by 50 bucks at a minimum, and there is a reason for it. They are the Nuttz!
