What do you consider practice??

Sorry, that's not SAM. SAM doesn't use the cue ball to aim with. Nor the pockets.......Randyg SAM founder.

Sorry, Randy.

I thought SAM was based on Hal Houle's aiming systems based on a previous conversation you and I had. I believe it was a system where you aim the center of the CB at one of six "cut lines" on the OB with the principal that there are only 6 angles needed to pocket just about any shot. I may not have explained the system correctly, though.

Great thread, very informative, well mostly:D

Thanks for stirring the pot, Mike.

Shouldn't you be on MySpace clipping pics and pretending you know those girls?

*Edit-I see you edited out the "well mostly  "

Eric: Very close. SAM is a combination of people and systems. Hal got it all started with me......randyg

When someone asks, "How much do you practice?" , what do you
consider when you state your timeframe.

Do you consider playing a weekly tournament practice? or playing a buddy?

Just wondering how many consider anything things other than a single player working on drills, playing the ghost, Fargo, etc practice.

I only play seriously. I usually play cheap cheap cheap sets giving up the 8 or 7; it has to be a challenge or you will be slacking off, count on it! Tournaments are my favorite "practice" but I rarely drill or try new shots out much anymore. When/if I am having trouble, then I'll practice alone until it's resolved. If it's not broke, don't fix it.
