What do you do to feed your hobby?

Relocate somewhere you can use your education.

In the meantime, wait tables. The work sucks, and it can be more stressful than you can possibly imagine if you haven't actually done it in a bust restaurant, but the money can be outstanding.

When I was waiting tables I was pretty lousy at it (good server, but couldn't handle many tables at once), and I still managed to make $2000-$4000 a month without much problem. I worked with at least two other servers that could consistently clear over $250 per meal.

The bussers made 10% of the servers' tips, so they made good money with much less stress, though their job was physically more demanding.

Good Rolls,

I have to agree with this, I mean, if you are a farmer you do not live in Manhattan? Or if your area is void of this stuff, maybe this is niche that could be filled? Maybe start your own computer consulting business or personal "Geek Squad" business. You could probably set up a web site pretty quick, do some local adverts and Craig's List. Sometime you just need to use your imagination.
