What do you think about this pocket?

My GCI has real deep shelves, I have never measured them as in the picture but I made a template of the opening of the shelf, its way deeper than all the other tables. I think it has the correct cushions, playing surface is 50"x100", it has been privately owned its whole life, never in a pool hall. I know that if the ball is deep in the pocket the front edge of the ball is behind the corners of the cushions. I rattle a lot of shots that are not hit real nice but its good practice for league tables, especially when playing on 7' Valleys.

It could be a snooker table conversion since they have deeper shelves

I learned that from Mark Gregory

I think I am going to -try to- do this on my own like Mike. I will buy extended rails and custom cut shims. If I have the correct angle, the ball hits the facing will go in the pocket instead of staying at the shelf.
My question is, if I buy diamond extended rails ( I am not even sure where to buy them) would they fit to this table?

You've gone too far.

Extending the rails is not a hobby.

And this table is a pile of crap.

There, I said it!!

i still can't over how deep that shelf is.

I have played on tables like this...even at the side pocket, if the object ball
was froze on the jaw (at the fall) and whitey was froze on the side rail...
...you could only see about 10% of the ball.

And I've turned down 2 Centuries for nothing...the Century and the Viscount
are two of the worst tables Brunswick ever made...imo
