What games do you play on the snooker table?

I think this is my first post in the snooker section. I will say hello to the snooker players around the world. Snooker is a great and challenging game. I play on a 5-10 brunswick,in a cuemakers garage. Today we played with the regular pool balls playing-(8 ball one pocket- and straight 8 ball. I had my first brake and run in straight 8 ball. I have never expressed myself verbally in pool ever (this loud). And yesterday I won 5-0 playing snooker, the first game about 60-2, ran out the rack 3 times in a row only 25-27 points- but keeping my opp. in the chair. no century's ever ,50's high run. Who else uses snooker and the table to play pool better? thanks in advance. mark

When I play snooker, I'm always by myself on a 5 X 10. I use snooker balls and I'll play about an hour and a half, maybe two hours. Anything more and I'm exhausted. I just find that I have to concentrate on every shot so hard that after a couple hours I start to get sloppy, so I call it quits.

I'll really only play 1 or 2 legitimate games of snooker, against myself, to see what I can run. Most of the time I'm just potting balls, working on fundamentals, lagging the cue ball up and down the center spots. I'll try to clear the colors off their spots a few times. I also work on staying around the black with about six reds at the foot of the table.

Sometimes there are some older guys playing "Golf" on the other table, but everyone I've seen uses snooker balls.

My stroke has improved greatly since I started and it's certainly improved my game on a pool table.

There are many variations u can play on a snooker table.

You can place 6 reds in a triangle shape as normal frame. That would be a quick way to play. Also six red snooker is also getting very popular world over as the frames are very quick. If thats also slow than u can try with 3 reds.
Also u can play normal Billiard with one white, one yellow and one red.

I play snooker (American rules), snooker (English rules), 9-ball, 8-ball, rotation, and cut-throat on my snooker table. I get some funny rolls on slowly hit balls on the rack end of the table, so I haven't played one pocket or straight pool on it. I prefer playing with the bigger balls, personally.

nope just snooker and english billiards. LOL "run out the rack" in snooker.... try it on a 12ft and call me when you do..

wait ... define "run out the rack".............that term is irrelevant in snooker. Last time I checked the object of the game was to build up your break score by potting ideally high value colours...Attempting to clear the table each time your inning starts IMHO is quite possibly the worst strategy to ever have in snooker. Unless you are a pro on tour there is no way in hell an average player would break more than 100, let alone average consecutive breaks at that level.

The op states his high run is in the 50's. So obviously he's not talking about a total clearance.
