Deno, I noticed there been no 2006 newletters published on USBA website or any real update. What happening with USBA?

That's a great question! I wrote off the USBA years ago. The organization constantly promotes itself to itself. Outside of the top several players, the level of play in this country continues to diminish. The organization was handcuffed for several years by a President and Board that did absolutely nothing...and when they did something, it was always wrong. Sad really. I expect that the USBA will maintain the status quo...meaning only a handful of sadly small tournaments and one National Championship that will attract more than its fair share of .500 level players. I don't know if you are a member or not, but I made a pledge years ago to not join again until they step up to the plate with something...anything...
The good news is that billiards will be on TV soon (May) thanks to the good work of Ira Lee out of New York. I expect an announcement will be forthcoming from him. I will probably post it here when it goes out.

Was, but might been the only member in my area. Maybe the new President - Bob Jewette will make good changes. Paul Frank and Mazin Shooni doing a lot of promote for 3C.
