Giving the 7 or giving the 8 and the last 2?

I beat the pants off a guy getting the 7 (set to 9) I won 9-3. He wanted to adjust and I said the 8 and the last 2 he said that was more weight than the 7. He agreed to 8 and the breaks but we ran out of time to play the last set.

The 8 and the last 2 is a gaff bet in my book. The last 2 will hardly ever ever come into play. But, if he offered you the 8 and the break, depending on your break that could be more than the 7. JMO.

I thought the 8 and the break was stronger than the 8 and the last 2 also. My break isnt good enough for it to be better than the 7 though
