What is a rapella shot ??

rappel

is french for recall

a recall shot

to make a point and put all the balls in a close an area as possible

this one looks like it takes a bit of a touch to it

easy for the balkline king pin, would take us americans several tries to get this one, me thinks

Edit OK this one is pretty easy

This diagram: it's also an easy gather (rappel) if you play with ball nr.2 instead of nr. 1. With just a little instruction, you can make progress in the free game quite rapidly. In 3-cushion, winning a tenth in average in a year is a mighty accomplishment. In the free game, you can go from 2 to 5 to 20 average in a few seasons.

Two Baulkline matches I stumbled upon

Here are two Baulkline matches I stumbled upon recently.

The first is a Demonstration match of 47_2 Baulkline during a three cushion tournament between Fredric Caudron and Esteve Mata at the Barcelona Billiard club:

The Second is a 71_2 Final Match in Denmark against Anders Henriksen and Dan Nielsen. If I recall correctly Anders was Juniors Euro Champion in Free game and 47_2 Baulkline a few years ago:
