I heard people talking about a rule of "buy back" or "buy in" in DDC tournament, what is that? could anyone enlighten me please?

Thanks

Hey Wonderer,
For an additional fee ($100 @ DCC) they can re-enter the tournament once. Instead of a Winner bracket and loser bracket. they allow a buy in for the players that lost, and then throw all the names in a hat and draw out of the pool who they will play the next round.

The DCC is a single elimination tourney that gives you the option to re-buy once if you lose a match. If you lose a match, you must re-buy before the the next rounds draw.

No finals until both players rebought

So can you rebuy if you lose the finals?
If you have a buyback coming when it is down to two players yes. But if you don't have one and your opponent does of course you would have to beat him twice. That is if he buys back. Duh, lol

Thank y'all for the replies. I have also heard the buy-in money doesn't go into the prize money, is it true? If so, why?

Buy-in is once per player, right? So, if none of the final two players have used their buy-in and they both buy in before the start of the "final", they both have to beat the other guy twice to get the first prize, isn't so? pretty interesting, huh?
