LEDs that work with fluorescent ballasts typically put out less light than straight 120V LEDs of the same size.
Just remember though, if you DO decide to alter your fixtures…DON‘T WALK ON YOUR SLATES! Lay 2x4s across the rails, and plywood over (don’t ask me how I know).
