I see Simonis 920 for sale in our FS section. What is it? I never heard of this cloth before. I just checked the Simonis website, and there is no mention of it there. Thanks.

The tables at Puyat Super Bowl in Makati Square uses this cloth. It runs very fast.

I just happen to have spent the last half hour figuring this out myself. Here is a simple description and comparison of Simonis' "Pool Cloth" as found on an Great Britain Simonis site:

It appears to me that this cloth may only be distributed in the European market, however.

Pay particular attention to the bulk weight differences of the cloths--920 is the thinnest of the pool cloths they make.

920

85% wool/15% nylon ; ± 325 g/m²
Widths : 165 and 195cm
Perfect lighter polyvalent cloth as well for home tables (pool and carom) as for billiard rooms and for Russian Pyramid tables.

[Definition of Polyvalent: of French origin (luckily I read French fluently) but for English purposes as Simonis is using it here, it means "of multiple function or purpose"]

860 HR

High Resistant
70% wool/30% nylon ; ± 410 g/m²
Widths : 165 and 198 cm
A true hybrid, the weight of 860 and the composition of 760. It offers the best compromise between the ball control and the speed of your cloth.

760

70% wool/30% nylon ; ± 355 g/m²
Widths : 165,195 and 206 cm
Excellent tournament pool cloth massively used in the whole world for decades. Especially recommended for high traffic. This reference cloth is legend ! It is also the best and most appropriate cloth for Russian Pyramid.

860

90% wool/10% nylon ; ± 410 g/m²
Widths : 165 and 198 cm
The exclusive tournament pool cloth chosen for virtually all major pool tournaments and championships worldwide (see most important events in our “References”). The greatest !

You owe me for this, iusedtoberich.

You left off Simonis

Will it be available in the USA going forward? Or you have a small stock you got somewhere? Is there any reason one would choose this over 760 or 860, except for clearance price?

Sinonis cloth

It was a special order of 9' cuts. This is what was left- enough for a 7' valley or a like.
I can special order more but it's no where near the price I'm clearancing this one out at.
FYI Simonis is increasing their prices so if any of you want to order Simonis.... you'll notice it's increased in price.
I've got some more year end clearances of seconds cloth to offer at discounts in the near future.

It is used on 6-foot tables all around my area.
Noticeably faster then 760 or 860 and wears a bit faster too.

But, other then those two factors a good cloth and quite affordable.

Mostly if you want to stunt your stroke and not be able to play anywhere that has worn cloth.

Fast cloth has been the one major factor that has bunched all the players together. I don't think it has been good for the game, really. It certainly broke 9 ball, because it made balls easier to make on the break.
