Ok

proof positive that pool has widespread appeal! As diverse as the u.s. Is, i refuse to believe that our sport can't grow.

you can refuse to believe anything you want.
But the facts are:
Kids now have video games.
Kids now start outside sport leagues at 4 & 5 years old.
Dads don't rule the roost & spend their time away from home like they did in the past.
The drunk driving laws have changed the way that people socialize.
And the best example of why pool isn’t going anywhere, in the united states, i already pointed out.

Again, i love pool, but you have to face facts.

I hear you, I really do. But I also know that once you don't believe that you can win, you guarantee defeat. I've played enough pool to learn that much. If I don't believe I can win the game, I rarely, if ever, will.

Plus, what is the harm in believing that one's favorite activities can be expanded to include new participants? I won't lose sleep either way, but I just enjoy playing, watching, and discussing pool. The fact that this website exists and has 23,000 + users (no, not are all active, but who cares?) have memberships displays some enthusiasm for the game, no?

In the end, I'll play pool regardless. I have a feeling that many will do the same.

Cheers...

I'm one of those who don't think pool is broken

I also think that it is good that some people work on expanding it.
My wife & i will be in lexington in june or july.
She will be doing her miniature horse stuff at the horse park.
Maybe you & i can get together & knock some around.
