What is the best quality Aramith cue ball to buy?

Magic Eraser is equal to 1500-2000 grit sandpaper. It would definitely take the shine off a new set of balls, even the new heat vitrified ones. With new ball sets now retailing over $250, I wouldn't recommend anything other than Aramith Ball Restorer or Cleaner to protect that investment.

On a worn out set with nothing to lose, it could be the first step if Aramith Ball Restorer didn't work well enough.

Actually they are a micro-abrasive. Basically a glass hard resin that is processed into foam. It can be hard on some surfaces. I would think it would take shine off pool balls. Y/N??

All I can say is it’s worked well for us. I’m not willing to spend but so much time and effort removing the deeper miscue scratches off all our cue balls. If it has taken any of the brand new shiny luster off the surface of the cue balls, I sure can’t tell it.
