Knowing your opponents speed and your own!
You know back in the old days a poolplayer had the line on every "Show Nuff " player, and the rest of um that gambled , just from word of mouth, down to the last two balls on any given game without ever seeing one play, without todays cells phones, ect........
Although I have matched up with players without knowing anything about them, but I'm not going busted to um, if I'm loosing, but will gamble to a point!
Well this day and age it is to easy to get the line on someone, but the player your trying to get down with don't always play according to your script, take me for instant,.......
I play a 6 speed on a bad day, maybe that was the line given to you , but my poolplaying fluxuates so that I maybe a 6 speed now, then the next hour 7 or 8 speed, hours later, shoot a 10 speed for several hours, then out of nowhere go back to a 6 or 7 speed, hopefully your busted before then, not that I'm playing the game that way, it's just how I play, and I adjust my bet accordingly.
So for some players it's better to plan on them playing their best speed and adjust your spot if any from there.
If the pool God happens to sprinkle his magic pool dust on me, you better watchout!

Lock, thats alot of good advice to go by, I say just never give up more weight than you can carry, it's best to know your opponents true speed, and know exactly your own!
