What Is The Cost to Sponsor a Pro?

I noticed on the WPBA Website that a lot of Pros could use a sponsor to help with expenses. I know that levels of sponsorship would vary, but what is the general cost for an individual or company to sponsor a Pro such as yourself? Thanks.

Hi Krypto,

Good question. Like you said, there are various types of sponsorship. There is the kind that I have which helps me with my equipment and health insurance. Other players get a monthly salary and others get that plus all expenses paid. I have figured that if a potential sponsor was to only pay expenses to a tournament it would be around $14,000. That may be a bit on the high end, but not by much. That includes airfare, hotel, entry and other fees, transportation and food. The price of hotel and airfare changes per tournament that is the reason for rounding up.

Hope this helps,
Sarah

Can this be true?

Sarah,
$14,000 for one tournament? It just doesn't seem possible. Did you mean $1,400? Or $14,000 for a season?

Luv ya,

Luv ya,
Per season.... :)

Oh yeah, sorry, that is for the season. The cost for one tournament could be anywhere from $1200-$2000. It just depends where the tournament is located and the amount of travel it takes to get there.

Thanks Sarah. I'll keep you in mind when that Mega Ball comes my way (smile).

Haha, thanks, I appreciate it. I hope you win it there and I win it here. That wouldn't be so bad.
