What is the difference in cotton, linen and canvas phenolic(and whatever else there is)? What are they all best used for on a cue. Thank you in advance.

i cant remember the differences but i decided on canvas phenolic for joints.

Canvas Based Phenolic is stringier looking and better for ferrule tip combos as it seems to hold up better and holds chalk better. Linen Based Phenolic has the sheet/cloth looking pattern and looks nicer for ferrules, butt plates and rings.
