between a 3 cushion cue and a regular cue be sides the joint. thanks, clint
Billiards (carom) cues are shorter and lighter than pool cues, and use a shorter ferrule. They also have a fatter butt and joint, a wooden joint pin in the shaft ,and a wood to wood joint without a collar. Billiards shafts use a conical taper, and a smaller tip diameter usually 11 to 12mm. Typical length is around 54 to 56 inches, weight around 16–18 oz, and they have a stiffer hit.
