I own an older special limited edition cue made by ADAM 25-30 some odd years ago (Stanley West model) it was a european release only from what I can gather....

Anyway... I ran across some ADAM cues for sale that I might want to pick up.but before I do I just want to know what you all think of the new cues they are putting out .

thanks

They used to be made in Japan. I think the newer cues are contracted to a Chinese maker, so they are absolutely flawless. IMHO, they are perfect - WAY better than the American cues.

Just wanted to make sure I'm not considered a racist anymore.

All kidding aside, they are good quality cues. They're made by the same house that does the Universal line, Lucasi, and they used to make the X-breaker too. The Adams J/B is a nice cue for the money.

Adam Cues

I collect older Adam cues mostly because I like the designs. In their day they were regarded as pretty good production cues. In fact there was a ton of handwork in some of the older Adam cues. The better quality examples I have compare favorably with older Palmer cues IMO.

Tha new Adam cues seem to be very well made using good quality materials as far as I can tell. Their re-issue series replicates the original old designs pretty well if not entirely accurately. The new Adam cues seem to depend more heavily on up to the minute production technology rather than hand work, which is entirely understandable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of the new Adam cues as a player but I wouldn't hold my breath waithing for an increase in value anytime soon.
