What is The GRAND Tour? [AMA]

I just meant if I gave up 100 bucks or so over the course of a month trying to get into the tournament I would probably look for another tournament, not quit pool all together!

I like the idea, and I think if people go about it correctly it could be a great thing. I wish we had something like this in our area. Best of luck to you and your tournament, sorry to hear about your loss.

I know I exaggerated a little there. But it was just to make a point. I know from just your posting in these forums that your enthusiasm for pool is well above the average player's.

We don't expect players to spend so much trying to get tickets. Whatever amount they support their local room, league, tournaments, etc. they ought to be rewarded with some tickets as a form of appreciation, in hopes they'll attract newer players to the game with their positive word-of-mouth. After GTP 1 we expect one player, at least, to not stop talking about how great The GRAND Tour is.
