Tougher question than you might thnk, but I'll take a shot.

In a 199 player field, these, I think (I hope), are the seven theoretically possible ways to finish 49/64:

bye-win-lose-win-lose
bye-lose-win-win-win-lose
bye-lose-bye-win-win-lose
win-win-lose-win-lose
win-lose-win-win-win-lose
lose-win-win-win-win-lose
lose-bye-win-win-win-lose

In other words, coming 49/64 might take two matches played and won, but it could take three or four.
